Abstract

This research sheds the light on the argument in the sermon "al- khutba al- ramliah" for Muslim bin Mahmoud Shezari, which was written in (600 AH) when a heavy storm hit Yemen, and continued for several days; rising fear in the hearts of people.

This research will highlight the manifestations of the argument as it is

appeared in this sermon; in which the speaker was intended to convince and influence recipients to his sermon, pushing them to repent to God - the Almighty

- and rectify their defaulted actions before it is too late; therefore, he tried to generate feelings of fear in them by highlighting the great ability of the Creator - the Almighty – in replacing the punishment for those who deserve it after sending them warnings, and this storm was such only a Warner from the Lord of the worlds.

He used different   types of arguments to influence and persuade people in his

idea, citing Quranic and prophetic verses firstly, then using the sayings of the preachers and ascetics, giving examples of what has happened with previous folks, and finally he    mentioned stories that had great significance and effects.
