The Ethical Approach of Al-Raghib Al-Isfahani

Abstract

Muhammad bin Al-Mufaddal, known as Al-Raghib al-Isfahani, and explain his ethical approach and his educational value. The study also aims to identify the impact of the Islamic and philosophical heritage on the formulation of the ethical approach of Al-Raghib al-Isfahani. The study adopted the inductive-analytical approach, which is represented in extrapolating the ideas of Al-Raghib al-Isfahani, tracking the evidence for these ideas through his books and opinions, and analyzing those ideas to reach their general objective. The study includes an introduction, a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction includes the research problem, its importance, objectives, research plan, and procedures; while the preface includes the life of Al-Raghib al-Isfahani and his ethics.

Results: From the results of this study, Al-Raghib al-Isfahani was a moral scholar, knowledgeable, and educator; as he had an ethical approach and multiple opinions worthy of study and attention from researchers. Al- Isfahani rooted his ethical approach in an integrated judiciary manner based on Quranic verses and prophetic Hadiths.
