Publication Guidelines

The Arab Science Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Deanship of Scientific Research at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. It is concerned with publishing scientific research in accordance with the following rules:

First: For the research to be accepted for publication in the journal, it must meet the following requirements:

            It must be original, innovative, scientifically and methodologically novel, and sound in its approach.

    It must adhere to the scientific methods, tools, and means considered valid in its field.

    The research must be accurate in its documentation and citation.

It must be linguistically sound.

It must not have been previously published.

    It must not be plagiarized from another research paper, thesis, or book, whether by the researcher themselves or by others.

Second: The following conditions apply when submitting research:

            The researcher must submit a request for publication, accompanied by a brief CV and a statement confirming that the researcher owns the intellectual property rights to the entire research and undertakes not to publish the research without the written consent of the editorial board.

             The research paper must not exceed 50 pages of A4 size.

 The entire research paper must be written in Traditional Arabic font, size 17 for the main text and size 14 for the footnotes, with single line spacing.

            The researcher must mention the names of the participating researchers, specifying each one's contribution to the research, and obtain their written consent for publication.

If the research is funded by a third party, the researcher must mention this after the title page or in the introduction.

             The researcher must refrain from mentioning his name in the research or referring to it in a way that reveals his identity, to ensure scientific integrity during the submission of the research to the journal and before arbitration.      

The researcher should send their research to the electronic journal platform (https://imamjournals.org), along with a summary in both Arabic and English, which should not exceed 200 words.

Third: Documentation

            Quranic verses shall be written in Ottoman script, based solely on the Madinah Quran, which can be found at the following link:

They should be placed between braced brackets and cited by mentioning the name of the surah and the verse number.

When submitting the research, it is necessary to download the following file to adjust the font of the Quran in any edition:

            Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of each page separately, and should only mention the title of the book, the page number, and the part if applicable. The rest of the book's details should be mentioned in the list of sources and references.

            When foreign names appear in the body of the research or study, they should be written in Arabic letters and placed in brackets in Latin letters, with only the full name being mentioned when it first appears.

Sources and references should be listed in an index at the end of the research in both Arabic and English.

            Samples of images from the verified manuscript shall be placed in their appropriate locations.

All images and drawings related to the research shall be attached, provided that they are clear and legible.

Fourth: General Guidelines

            The researcher is fully responsible for the content of their research, and the journal does not bear any responsibility for any violations (scientific or intellectual) therein.

The journal has the right to reject the research without giving reasons, and the journal's board of directors has the right to withhold the research from publication after it has been accepted by the reviewers, without giving reasons for doing so.

No more than one research paper per researcher may be published in a single issue.

Research papers that are not accepted for publication will not be returned to their authors, nor will the reviewers' comments be sent to them.

Researchers may not withdraw their research papers before publication and after review without the written approval of the journal's editorial board.

    The researcher is obliged to amend the reviewers' comments upon acceptance of their research, noting that the research will not be published until this condition has been fulfilled.

The author's name, position, place of work, specialization, and email address shall be stated under the title of the research in the final version prepared for publication.

The journal shall publish research electronically only, and the researcher shall not be entitled to request paper copies from the journal.
