Al-qira'at al-waridatu fi qawlihi-ta'ala: وعبد الطغوت Dirasatun-nahwiyatun sarfiyatun dilaliatun

Abstract

One of the most honorable and noble intentions is to serve the Quran by defending it and clearing up doubts and confusing statements related to the different Qira'at (recitations of the Quran). There are a number of distinguished scholars whom have devoted themselves to clearing up these misconceptions. These scholars have studied the various Qira'at in order to reveal its meanings and syntactic elements based on evidence.

The current research contributes in this field have shed light on different number of Qira'at that has reached 38 variations with regards to just the following Quranic verse only, وعبد الطغوتThis can be understood in the English language as those who worshipped at-taghut (a false object of worship). Some of these Qira'at have not been linguistically studied in-depth. Thus, the current paper aims to reveals the subtleties within the Arabic languages in understanding and interpreting those different Qira'at. The present study clearly demonstrates the depth and richness of Arabic, by showing the different ways that can be used to derive and generate words. It also shows the subtle differences that some similar words (synonyms) have.
