Abdulla Elsaleh Elfaleh (1345 – 1445 H) has been classified with poets and men of letters. He was very active in his prime speaking in public and assuming a pioneering role in meetings while studying at Dar Eltawheed in Taif and at the Faculty of Sharia in Mecca. He was very intelligent. His voice was melodious and his handwriting neat. He was admired by his instructors and sheiks. His friends and colleagues were impressed and influenced by him. All these talents and gifts, however soon faded away as Abdulla preferred isolation. He was satisfied with a modest job that does not match his stance. The salary he received was barely enough to survive. He was keen on free reading to make time pass. He avoided meeting with people except for very close friends. He taught for some time before moving to the position of a librarian until his retirement in 1401 H. He excelled in poetry, all his contemporaries gave him credit for this. He was affected by Romanticism. His poetry was very romantic. The texts introduced in this research paper assure this aspect. He appeared weekly on the famous program "Symposium" presented every Friday at the Literary Club. His input came under the title of "Lens of Morale" during which he analyzed outstanding figures of Dar Eltawheed whether they were students or instructors, showing their points of strength and weakness. This research incorporates a biography of this obscure man of letters. It renders also a brief account of Dar Altawheed as well as the Faculty of Sharia. It embraces as well what I managed to obtain from Elfaleh's prose and verse.
