Abstract

This study describes and analyzes the differences in pronouncing some plosives among the Indian workers at Arar and Medina Al Munawarah in K.S.A. Two groups were tested, the first group considered the Indian workers, and the second group considered the Arab workers. I examined five plosives with the three vowels: /a/, / i/ and /u/. The plosives were as follows: /b/, / ˤd/, /tˤ/, / ʤ /, &/q/.  All the syllables were (c v). I analyzed the results in two ways: a- listening, b- by using (PRAAT) program. I compared the results in two ways: a- between the two groups, b- with the description of both: the ancient and the Arab linguists. This is an attempt to focus on problems of pronunciation; we need further research to enrich these studies, and to preserve the Arabic Language.
