Abstract

The omission phenomenon is one of the structural phenomena connected with the syndetic style; the grammarians see that; its existence condition as the existence of a factor or its indication. The sequential coordination is composed, in turn, of the conjoined, the conjunction, and the coordinated; the grammarians stated that the syndetic copulative may be omitted from speech, and they gave evidence of that.

The syndetic copulative omission with the conjoined and the coordinated has been observed, as well as omitting it without the conjoined and the coordinated.

This study aims to state the grammarians’ situation regarding the syndetic copulative omission in Holy Quran.  By giving evidence which was directed by some scholars about the syndetic copulative omission with considering it in speech.

I made that in three topics:

The first topic: The grammarians’ situation towards the syndetic copulative omission.

The second topic: Pieces of evidence of directing the syndetic copulative omission in the Holy Quran.

The third topic: The syndetic copulative omission’s reasons.
