This study concerns the book "The Capture of Benefits in Medical Science of the Father of Al-Faraj" by Abdur Rahman Ibn Ali bin Mohammed Ibn Al-Jawzi. He was a 6th-century Hijri scholar with a wide reputation and a great place in speech, preaching, and authorship. He is distinguished by his production and the abundance of his books. The study aims to show how to use the characteristics of the Arabic text to adjust the scientific terminology process in a medical record on precise linguistic and scientific grounds. The book is one of the fruits of medicine and wisdom. It included topics related to medicine and diseases that afflict humans from childhood to old age. Divided into seventy chapters, it included issues in medicine and its origins, general and psychological diseases that affect humans and their treatment, the composition of medicines, and how to use them. The book also included many names of medicinal plants and herbs. The study consists of an introduction that includes its methodology and questions, the introduction of the book and its author, and then the levels of linguistic description in the text, the means of generating terminology in the Arabic language, from derivation to metaphor and Arabization, and how Ibn Al-Jawzi used these means in the development of the book's terminology.
