Abstract

This research deals with the narrative in (Memoirs of a Witness of the Century) and its argumentative energy, through its rhetorical mechanism, which varies according to the formations of the narrative in the story, starting with defining the relationship of the narration with argumentation because they are embedded in the depths of the discourse, and then it overflows into the study of the prominent argumentative narration features in the notes. It deals with the narration of events, the construction of dualities in them, the strategy of choice, the narration of sayings, and determines the role of narrative time in argumentative energy, whether the time following events, or simultaneous with them, or the time consuming with its various strategies of summarizing, resting and cutting, and approximating all this argumentatively.
