Abstract
This research is a study of Abu Al-Husayn Al-Mahbudi's commentary on the book Al-Luma' by Ibn Junay, which is one of the earliest commentaries on the book Al-Luma'. It includes an introduction to the commentator, a detailed discussion of his commentary, its methodology and sources, its evidence, its attention to terminology and concepts, and its transmission from some scholars who are not heavily cited. The study also examines his choices and opinions, some of which were not previously discussed and were transmitted by later scholars, making it an important contribution to the study of this book. The first chapters of the book, up to the end of the section on verbs (bab al-af'al), were also analyzed in this research.
