Rhetorical Analysis of The Quranic Evidence Reading in Rhetoricians’ Perspectives of Quranic Verse (And it was said: 'Earth, swallow up) (Transliteration “Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee”)

Abstract

And it was said: 'Earth, swallow up your waters. Heaven, cease! ' The water subsided, and the matter accomplished. And the Ark came to rest upon (the mountain of) Al-Judi, and it was said: 'Be gone, evildoing nation! ﴿, in terms of benchmarks, approach, style, process method, and findings. Rhetoricians paid further attention, analysis and commemoration to this verse because it needs further inflection and reconsideration to identify approaches of rhetoricians in receiving this Quranic verse, and to reveal their different analysis. This research is a reading beyond the first reading to access a significant methodological introduction for rhetoricians, as the rhetorical evidence is carefully selected based on accurate standards, which is considered one of our relevant introductions to the present study. The researcher reflected rhetoricians’ indications and commendations of the Qur’anic miracle, rhetoric and uniqueness; and then reflected four main themes in receiving and analyzing this Quranic verse. Each theme represents an independent topic, demonstrates the rhetorical approach in analyzing this verse. As well as the researcher identified the aesthetics of this verse which the rhetorician indicated and analyzed. That was a model of analysis of the Quranic Evidence by the Rhetoricians. It has been turned out that Abdulqader Aljerjani was the first one who indicated this verse with further care; and had an obvious impact on the latecomer rhetoricians by selecting this verse as a model for application, innovation, eloquence, and miracle His indication represented a hard core of rhetoricians’ analysis of this verse; meanwhile, each phase of perceptiveness and analysis of that verse among rhetoricians was characterized by different benchmarks, various styles, and relatively dissimilar objectives. Abdulqader Aljerjani and Al-Zamakhshari represented the originality phase, Yousuf Al-Sakaki represented the application phase, Ibn Abi Al-Esbah Al-Misri represented the innovation phase, and Abu Hamzah Al-Alawi represented the miraculousness phase.
