From the eloquence of the argument in Surat Al-Jumu’ah

Abstract

One of the manifestations of the inimitability of the Holy Qur’an is that it is an argumentative discourse for all human beings. It has employed many argumentative methods aimed at the persuading mind of the recipient and influencing it. To correct his/her behavior and self-discipline; hence, came this study, which is entitled: The argumentative rhetoric in Surat Al–Jumua. It showed the variety of argumentation–evidence texts and their characteristics that led to the division of these texts into informative, analytical texts and specialized argumentative texts. It has functioned many persuasive methods that aim at winning the mind of the recipient... The Quranic verses have a variable example of persuasive methods from an adherence perspective to urge people's minds to think carefully of that especially the rhetoric methods and well methods of creation. In addition, the inimitability of the Holy Quran for these Qur’anic verses. This study reveals the argumentative evidence styles in the Holy Quran, especially Surat Al–Jumua because it has many argumentative examples in its verses The study showed the variety of techniques, styles and purposes of the argumentative evidence methods in Surat Al–Jumua, whatever were they linguistics or rhetoric considering the differences in their use.
