The research seeks to shed light on the effectiveness of the rhetorical formation of sounds in the poem (Ya damashq) by the Saudi poet Haifaa Jabri, with the aim of revealing the rhetorical impact of the letter’s sound and its movement in meaning through the two characteristics of the optimal choice of sounds and their distribution according to a system of connotations emanating from the essence of meaning. The poet’s choice of a specific sound and linking it to other sounds The formation of the poem’s vocabulary and its structures indicates its bias through the meanings conveyed by the sounds chosen for his words. As for their distribution, it is related to the locations of his choices for a comprehensive goal, which is to match the words to the requirements of the situation, as if the sounds are a condensed suggestion that reduces meanings with aesthetic values that achieve benefit through their semantic dimension. And the pleasure in its audio dimension.
