This research provides a study on the problematic hero in "Khabar Nibashat Alquboor"  by Judge Abi Ali Al-Tanukhi, who lived in the fourth century of the Hijri calendar. The study extracts the key characteristics that distinguish the problematic hero in narrative works in general, based on

modern Western theories, notably (Georg Lukács) Theory of the Novel and (Lucien Goldmann`s) Introduction to the Sociology of the Novel. These theories are applied to the character of the girl (the hero) with the aim of proving the existence of this type of hero in our Arab narrative heritage.
