The Attitude of Ibn Malik in SHARH AL-TASHEEL and SHARH AL-KAFIAH on Views of Ibn Barhan Stated in “SHARH AL-LUMA’A”

Ibn Malik’s Elaborations on Ibn Burhan’s Sharh Al-Luma’a as Revealed in Ibn Malik’s Sharh Al Tas-heel and Sharh Al Kafiah Alshafiah: A Grammatical Analytical Study

Abstract

This research dealt with the attitude of Ibn Malik in SHARH AL TASHEEL and AL KAFIAH on the views of Ibn Burhan stated in “SHARH AL- LUMA’A”, and the importance of the research lies in the combination of two eminent scholars of language and grammar, and aims to collect the views of Ibn Burhan in his books: SHARH AL- TASHEEL, and SHARH AL-KAFIAH, and statement of Ibn Malik’ attitude towards them, then discussed and studied objectively, the research has relied on the descriptive approach and the analytical approach.  The nature of the research required to arrange it into an  introduction, then two theses, the first thesis discusses: the coincidences of Ibn Malik to Ibn Burhan, including eight issues, the  second thesis discusses: his objections to  Ibn Burhan, including seven issues, and then a conclusion that states the most prominent findings of the research, most notably: the harmony of grammatical thought between Ibn Burhan and Ibn Malik, where they agreed in many opinions and choices, including also: The importance of SHARH AL- LUMA ‘A by Ibn Burhan for Ibn Malik, it is one of the important grammatical sources that he relied on, and this is reflected through the multiple quotes that he conveyed from that explanation.
