Abstract

The research was launched from a central question: What is the extent of the study of rhetorical evidence? What are the methods of authorship in it? From this cognitive question, the objectives of the research were determined, most notably: monitoring the development of authorship in rhetorical examples, analyzing the methods of authorship, identifying the origins of such authorship, examining the influences that led to its emergence, and clarifying how the study of rhetorical examples differs from other sciences. To achieve the objectives of the research, I adopted the historical analytical approach to read the process of authorship in rhetorical evidence, where I fully extrapolated the literature on the study of the rhetorical evidence -as much as possible-and collected and classified them and then analyzed the authors' approaches in the most prominent of those works .Based on the objectives of the research and its methodology, the research was divided into an introduction, which includes the discussion about the importance of the research, its question and methodology, and a preface on the definition of the rhetorical evidence and its place in Arabic rhetoric. And this was followed by three topics: the first topic: the study of rhetorical Qur’anic evidence; the second topic: the study of rhetorical poetic evidence, and the third topic: the explanation of rhetorical evidence in non-Arabic languages. The research reached several findings, the most prominent of which include: The scholars were of two categories regarding the study of Qur’anic rhetorical evidence: a category that studied individual evidence and another that studied evidence of rhetorical books, and the second category produced one Arabic rhetorical book for us, while authorship in the study of the poetic rhetorical evidence resulted in three trends, namely: the rhetorical trend, which is the least present, then the literary trend, whichis the most present, then the linguistic trend. The study of poetic rhetorical evidence only surfaced later in the eighth hijri century, and the books whose evidences were studied are six rhetorical books, namely: Miftāḥ al-‘Ulūm, Al-Talkhīṣ wa Al-Eedooh,Al-Mutawwal wa Al-Mukhtasar, and Ḥāshiyah Al-Seyyid Al-Sharīf ‘alā Al-Mutawwal, and it did not study the prosodic rhetorical evidence
