Abstract

This critical study examines the formation of rhythmic and prosodic terms after the emergence of the free Verse movement, targeting the interaction of learners with the prosodic and rhythmic regeneration caused by the free Verse movement; To start developing theoretical abstracts, including terms and concepts, this means that research is based in its methodology on reading and receiving. The research came to several conclusions, including that poetic freedom contributed to the emergence of new rhythmic and prosodic terms, which came in the context of a change in musical forms, and this change must reconsider the scholars in the old prosodic terms

After the introduction and prelude, the first section is titled: The Term "Poetry" and Its Formation. This section discusses the terms coined by critics to describe the essence of free verse, which broke the constraints of rhyme and established the "metrical foot" as the musical foundation instead of the unified poetic line.

The second section is titled: Terminology of Free Verse Components and Their Formation. In this section, the focus shifts from the terms associated with free verse and their formation process to the terms related to the rhythmic and prosodic components of the poem, exploring the reasons behind their creation and the methods that led critics to coin these terms.

After the two main sections, there is a conclusion that presents the key findings and recommendations. It becomes clear from the foregoing that this research aims to engage scholars with the innovations in prosody and rhythm brought about by the free verse movement, encouraging them to develop theoretical frameworks that include terminology and concepts. This engagement implies that the research is methodologically rooted in critical reading
