Abstract

The One Hundred Factors of Imam Abdul Qahir al-Jarjani, who died in 471 H, is one of the renowned Arabic grammar primers. It has been repeatedly explained analysed and versified.

One of those who versified it was Sheikh Ali Al-Basir, died in 1090 H, who used the title Durrat Al-Durya Fi Nadhm Al-Aoamil An-NaHawiyah (The Pearl In the Versification of Grammatical Factors). This versified edition was explicated by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Ari Al-Rihawi Al-Halabi (Died 1128H), who provided a simplified accessible edition, which I have edited and authenticated against three manuscripts.
