Critical Discourse in Social Media Networks The Saudi case in Twitter, a Model Pragmatic Approximation

Abstract

This research work discusses the issue of critical discourse in social media networks by focusing on case of spatially explicit cognitive discourse, namely, cases of criticism in Saudi Arabia. It is a case, digitally and communicatively, identifiable in (Twitter) accounts of Saudi critics posted in social media. The period of data collection is limited (from 2011 to 2017). This study adopts an analytical pragmatic approach which reveals the outline of the new Saudi critical Anthology (corpus), its characteristics, types, language, and communicative patterns, current among Saudi critics.
