Abstract

Syntactic analysis- as a tool for analyzing the grammatical functions of textual elements- is influenced by many factors. One of the most important factors is the variation of morphological meaning of the word (the signified meaning understood from word structure). This influence can be restricted to three aspects as follows: multiplicity of syntactic analysis, ellepsis andsuggested pro-forms, and meanings of prepositions. The study addresses these issues practically through analyzing some potential morphological meanings of words in Quran and the inflectional aspectsresulting from these meanings, using ten research requirements that include almost 50 morphological meanings.

Among the most important findings of the study: 1) there are criteria for the differentiation between the morphological meanings of the word. 2) the most common morphological meaning in the Holy Quran is the meaning of (masdar) the non-finite form.
