Abstract

This study investigates the use of language corpora in second language teaching. It discusses the advantages of applying language corpora in the classroom and presents some illustrative examples of their use in learning and teaching language skills. It also provides practical guidance for both language learners and teachers inside and outside the classroom. The study concludes that teaching a second language (Arabic) using language corpora has many linguistic and educational benefits for language learners, teachers and researchers. Accordingly, the study recommends the use of language corpora in Arabic language teaching to native speakers and non-Arabic speakers in the classroom, particularly with the progress of communication and the strong relationship between language and technology in the current era.
