Poetic Characteristics of Sa`eed Ya`qoob’s Poetry
Abstract
This paper attempts to investigate the poetic language in Saeed Yaqoub’s poetry. The researcher sets forth that poetry is measured by the poetic, rhythmic and metrical language. It is this language that scales poets and, thus, makes a poet successful or failure. The research investigates the aesthetic aspects of the Jordanian poet Saeed Yaqoub poetry through monitoring the foundations that change the poet’s language into an astonishing sentimental language. The researcher, therefore, monitors the relationship between the poet and the text’s thresholds, his relationship with metaphors, similes and poetic illumination, his metaphors and the predictive vision that could foresee the future through the status quo.
