Phonetic Aspects of Considering or not-Considering Al‘aridhin the Recitation of the Qur’an Presentation and Analysis

Abstract

This study deals with phonetic aspects related to the consideringor non-considering of Al-‘aridhin Qur’an reciting. The study discusses Al-‘aridh issue in syntax, giving a brief explanation of the semantic aspect and detailed explanation of the pronunciation aspect.

     It also gives some examples to clarify the rules that scholars use to explain what the reciters do and the impact of the rules of the voice in this matter, especially the rule of the facilitation of pronunciation, explaining it in a clear way.  The study also states scholars’ opinions on the difference between the reciters in relation to considering or not considering Al-‘aridh.

     The researcher relied on the results of modern phonetic studies in describing some phonic phenomena using these studies in phonetic analysis when needed.
