Abstract

This study focuses on clarifying the most significant constituents that should the Muslim civilizational interlocutor have when he intends to participate in the dialogue of civilizations meetings. The study utilized the qualitative method and come to some results such as; the importance of preparing the interlocutor for the dialogue of civilizations events, and that the Sharia science, knowing the suspicions raised about Islam, and learning about the culture of the other, in addition to having knowledge about religions are the most scientific constituents of the Muslim interlocutor. Among the recommendations of the study is that it is crucial to pay more attention in choosing who represents the Muslim side in the dialogue of civilizations, and the urgent need for the cooperation of academic institutions with dialogue institutions to formulate training programs for the graduation of trained scientific competencies to participate in the dialogue forums of civilizations, and create a license to allow individuals to participate in such forums.
