This research reviews several interpreters and linguists' opinions on the meaning of the comparative expressions " i.e., "just as" in Ayah number 5 of Surat Alanfal: "Just as thy Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth." This research consists of 1) an introduction, 2) a preface, 3) four sections, and 4) a conclusion.
The introduction explains the importance of the thesis and the plan and method of the research. The preface elaborates on the lexical meaning of " ﱽ" i.e. "just as". The first section contains interpretations of " ﱽ" i.e. "just as." The second section explains the syntactical case of " ﱽ" i.e. "just as." The third section analyzes the meaning of the simile in the above mentioned ayah. Finally, the conclusion summarizes the results of the study.
