Arithmetic faculties to extract the origin of the inheritance issue

Abstract

ʿilm al-farāʾiḍ “the science of the ordained quotas” is one of the most reverend and significant branches of knowledge. It is half of science. It is according to narrations the first science to be removed from the nation. Due to the honorable status of this science, the topic of this research is titled "Arithmetic faculties to extract the origin of the inheritance issue".

The research aims to collect arithmetic assets stated by jurisprudents that were never collected or explained in one study. Such assets would help the jurist distribute optimally the estate by being proficient in understanding the jurisprudence.

The study seeks to gather all assets related to principles that include two or more quotas. The study adopts inductive and critical reasoning as a methodology.

The research resulted in eleven arithmetic assets of ordained quotas along with their explanations and examples.
