A Comperative Study of Ibn Al-Qayyim and Other Hanbali: Scholars on Misattributions to Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal

This study illustrates Abu Abdullah Ibn Qayyim’s comprehensive understanding of The Hanbali school of thought. This research also reveals his in-depth knowledge of its different branches and demonstrates his proficiency in investigating and evaluating them. The study also shows Ibn Qayyim’s ability to utilizing a collection of underlying wisdoms of Sharia and apply them to the context of his Fiqh, as shown by his points of view. He was also able to use his knowledge of several aspects of Islamic law alongside his caution when dealing with other schools of jurisprudence and misattributing any opinions or thoughts to them.
The aim of this study is to explain the connections between the Islamic schools of jurisprudence, how they benefit from each other, and the claims attributed to other schools of jurisprudence and their branches. This research also explains Ibn Qayyim’s opinion about the Hanbali school's misattributed sayings or opinions and how he dealt with them by comparing them to Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal's views, his school’s principles and goals of Islamic Shariah in general. In addition, these comparisons takes into account Ibn Qayyim’s views side to side to other Hanbali scholars’ views in related topics
