Abstract

With the proliferation of paper recycling factories in the Islamic world and the trend towards using waste paper as a raw material for new paper products, the importance of researching the rulings related to this industry and answering the questions of specialists in this field and those interested in environmental science has emerged.

The research dealt with defining recycling, the stages that paper goes through during the recycling process in preparation for the research, then the first section dealt with the legal basis for this process with the ruling on recycling Mushaf paper and paper on which the name of Allah is written, and the ruling on purifying paper during the recycling process. As for the second section, it dealt with the finances of waste paper, owning neglected paper on the roads or belonging to an institution or company. The research concluded by stating the most important results, including:

  • The permissibility of recycling Mushaf paper in accordance with controls and conditions that ensure its maintenance and honor.
