The Moving Creatures of Hell-Fire, A Doctrinal Study in Light of the Revealed Texts and the Scholalrly Sayings

Abstract

Research Objective: Compilation of the authentic sound texts related to the (moving creatures) from the prophetic hadiths and the sayings of the companions and their followers; through the extrapolation of the hadith literature, then the study of those texts and their contents in terms of issues, in a doctrinal study based on the path of the people of Sunnah and Jamaa’ah.

The Contents of the research: The research contains the definition of the linguistic and technical connotation of moving creatures and an explanation of the linguistic and legal meaning of hell-fire. Then, the research discussed the explanation of the creed of the people of Sunnah and Jamaa’ah regarding hell-fire by considering it part of belief in the Last Day. After then, the research discussed the concept of moving creatures of hell-fire and their reality. Then the research considered the hadiths and scholarly statements that discussed the moving-creatures of hell-fire. They are the snakes and scorpions of hell Research Methodology: This research followed in its methodology, the inductive methodology that is based on extrapolation and tracking of the hadiths and scholarly statements in the hadiths literature from the Saheehs, the Sunnahs, and the Musnads, regarding hell-fire, to cover all that relate to the (moving creatures of hell-fire). Then, the research followed the descriptive methodology in studying what has been compiled in a specialized doctrinal study to unveil their connotations; and to illuminate their issues and contents.

The Most Significant Findings:

1. 1. That the title “Al-daabah” (moving creatures) include all that move by themselves on the land or fly in the sky, or live in the water.
2. 2. That the people of Sunnah believe that the hell-fire has been created and exists currently, it would never cease to exist and would be in existence till external by the power of Almighty Allah.
3. 3. There exist authentic hadiths and scholarly statements that confirm the existence of moving creatures of hell-fire, after proper extrapolation, the research has tracked a number of them, and they are: the snakes, the scorpions, the maggots, the flies, the birds.
4. That Almighty Allah created those moving-creatures in the hell-fire not to punish them, but to use them to punish the dwellers of hell-fire.
