Abstract:
The problem of the study arises in showing the most correct text in a manuscript about the ruling on repeating the prayer over the funeral according to the Hanafi School, in which the book included a number of quotes related to this topic from the Hanafi School’s books.
This study aims to achieve the realization of the manuscript in the Hanafi jurisprudence which tagged with: “The purpose of conciseness in repeating the funeral prayer” and it is attributed to Imam Abdul Ghani Al-Nabulsi, in addition it aims to serve the text with useful comments and footnotes that facilitate its understanding for the reader, by following the inductive and historical (retrospective) methods.
The study confirms what the book has reached that when the funeral prayer is prayed once, it is an abominable matter that is almost unlawful to repeat it again, whether for someone who has previously prayed at this funeral or not, unless someone who does not have the right to come forward and pray as an Imam, therefore, the one who has the right to be the Imam comes forward to repeat if he wills. And whoever prays this an abominable supererogatory that is almost unlawful, if he knew that someone prayed in this funeral before, He will not be rewarded by repeating it, because he intentionally did an abominable matter that is almost unlawful. If he didn’t know that, and he prayed, then He would be rewarded, but his reward for this repetition without knowledge is not the same as his reward if no one prayed it before.
