Deification of Love in Pagan Religions and their effects in Light of Islamic Faith

Abstract:

The study aimed at examining the tendency of some peoples to deify love, especially in pagan religions. Moreover, it attempted identifying the peoples who tend to deify love. The study shed some light on the effects of deification of love in our modern era from Shariah perspective and in light of Islamic; examining the celebration of Valentine’s Day, adornments, and self-development programs which had an impact on reviving many related beliefs. Finally, the study concluded with stating the evidence indicating the invalidity of deification of love and Allah’s entitlement to be worshiped alone, with no partner.
