Abstract:
The negation approach is among the approaches of the Arabs that were used in the Book of Allah, and upon consideration it becomes apparent that it contains some creedal connotations, and this research came to study the most prominent creedal connotations that are found in the negation approach in the story of Prophet Ibrahim in the Glorious Qur’an, and the explanation of the creed of the People of Sunnah and Jamaa’ah regarding them.
In this study, I followed two methodologies: the inductive and the analytical, by tracking the stories of Ibrahim –peace upon him-and compiling the verses that include the negation context, and I mentioned all verses that include the same negation word under a separate topic, and then they were studied and analyzed and the creedal connotations were derived from them.
The study was divided into the theoretical and the applied parts, the theoretical regarding clarification of the concept of negation and its tools and principles, and the applied regarding the derivation of the creedal connotations from the verses that include the negation approach in the story of Ibrahim –peace upon him-. The creedal topics of these connotations vary, including the connotations on the topic of monotheism, like worshiping Allah only and abstaining from paganism and the debate with the opponents and the leaders of disbelief and disobedience, and establishing proofs against them, and the belief in the Messengers, and the Last Day, and in destiny and preordinance.
There were several findings reached through the research, the most significant of which include: The Qur’an including the establishment of the issues of creed through diverse approaches, and the negations in the story of Ibrahim –peace upon him-including a group of topics of creed.
