Abstract:
Topic of the Research: "The Position of Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Al-Qayyim towards the Followers of the Sects Affiliated with Islam"
Objective of the Research: The current research aims to discuss the issue of the provision on followers of sects that are ostensibly affiliated with Islam, and whose origins and beliefs are unanimously agreed upon by scholars that are not part of Islam. The editorial was according to the opinion of two of the scholars who explained it, namely: Ibn Taymiyyah (D. 728H) and Ibi Al-Qayyim (D. 751H).
Methodology of the Research: It has adopted the descriptive analytical approach.
The most Prominent Findings of the Research: Distinction between the classes of the common people according to the symptoms of ignorance and knowledge, as well as the distinction between the beliefs they believe; As there are beliefs that clash with the apparent principles of Islam, and there are beliefs that do not clash with its principles.
Recommendations of the Research: Discussing the jurisprudential and doctrinal issues emanating from this issue, as well as examine the ruling on those among the followers of this sect who are judged to be infidels; Is he one of the original infidels or an apostate? Whereas the original infidels differ from the apostates in several provisions.
