Abstract:

This study examines the role of the Holy Qur’an in promoting family security, focusing specifically on marital life. It addresses the concept of family security within marital life in the Qur’an, considering both cases of harmony and discord. The study is structured into an introduction, a preamble, two main sections, a conclusion, and scholarly indexes. The preamble defines the concept of security and the concept of family in Islam. The first section discusses family security in marital life during times of harmony and consists of three subtopics. The second section explores family security in marital life during periods of discord and includes five subtopics. The conclusion summarizes the key findings.

The research arrives at several conclusions, including: the significance of the marriage contract as one of the solemn covenants emphasized in Islamic law, referred to as a "firm covenant"; the obligation to adhere to the limits set by Allah in the marriage contract; and the importance of prospective spouses acquiring knowledge of their religion, particularly matters related to marital life. The study also recommends holding training and educational workshops for young people preparing for marriage to ensure they are well-informed about their religious obligations.
