This study focuses on the legitimate and permissible alternatives available to a husband considering divorcing his wife, providing him with options that may avert separation. Through research and inductive analysis, the study identifies six alternatives, which are examined through a comparative fiqh approach using descriptive and analytical methods.

The study begins with a discussion of the central importance of the family to human life and the risks posed by its disintegration. It concludes that adopting these alternatives can significantly reduce the prevalence of divorce in Arab and Muslim societies, provided that people are educated about them and made aware of their significance. To the best of the researcher’s knowledge, no prior study has undertaken a comprehensive survey and systematic examination of these alternatives in the manner presented here.
