Borrowing Money for Worshiping

Abstract

The current research discusses areas of causes and general regulations for borrowing money. Then, it clarifies in details the rulings on borrowing in different areas of worshiping, addressing the rulings on borrowing for purity and prayer, and borrowing for Zakat money, al-Fitr Zakat and charity. The research also addresses borrowing in the rulings pertaining to Hajj rituals: which are borrowing to perform Hajj, borrowing to buy the sacrificial animal (al-Hadi), borrowing to buy expiation or ransom, and borrowing to buy the sacrifice and aqeeqah (sacrifice for the newborn). Finally, the research tackles contemporary issues related to borrowing for worshiping which are: borrowing from institutions, and the influence of the monthly salary on the ruling of borrowing for worshiping, as well as the borrowing by people who do not have a salary, for worshiping. The research concludes by highlighting the main findings.
