Attitudes of Social Science College Students at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Toward Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders

Abstract

The present study aimed at identifying the attitudes of Social Sciences college students at Imam University toward individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders, and possible differences among participants with regard to a number of variables. A sample of (398) male students participated in the study, which utilized a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were established to collect data. The results showed that the participants had positive attitudes toward individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders. Furthermore, the results indicated significant differences in favour of participants majoring in special education, and participants who had very good academic grades. However, the result of the study did not show significant differences due to the variable of academic year. Finally, the study mentioned several recommendations for future research related to the topic of the study.
