Abstract

This study reveals the demographic and spatial characteristics of migrants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the city of Almethnab city in Al-Qassim Region, and aims to identify the demographic, economic and social features of migrants, sources and size of this migration, and to shed light on the reasons that prompted migrants to migrate, and their relationship to their origin home. The study relied on the questionnaire to collect information. Sample census measure out (300) migrants. It turns out that the city of Almethnab is experiencing a population growth. The results showed that economic and social factors are among the most important motivation of migration. there is a difference between cases of immigrants, in terms of the reasons that led them to migrate to the city of Almethnab, according to type of migrants, educational status, type of profession, and monthly income. It was also found that immigrants are still in a continuous relationship with their origin home, and the social factor is one of the most important factors that push the immigrant to visit their own origin home.
