Abstract

The subject of the research in the geography of energy, using modern technologies in addressing the subject of electricity, which is the support of contemporary development. It represents the main pillar of industrial, agricultural, urbanism, services, and various aspects of life in society.  The study area was in Al-Kharj Governorate, which is one of the most important governorates of the Riyadh region in economic activity - size and diversity - and the second of its provinces   in population size.  The importance of the governorate is evident as being the main source of several products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as dairy products and meat, in addition to several crops.  The Governorate characterized by the existence of the three phases of the electrical system: production, transport and consumption: as the electrical system was characterized by the large size of all its components.  The governorate is witnessing an increase in the demand for electricity annually, which requires additional investments in the future in the generation and transmission and distribution networks, to provide consumption needs.
