Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between psychological rigidity and healthy behavior among a sample of elderly patients with cancer, and to detect the level of psychological rigidity and the level of health behavior of the study sample depending on the variables (gender-and social status), the study sample reached (73) the elderly and older women. It was applied Measures of psychological hardness and healthy behavior. The results reached a positive correlation between psychological hardness and healthy behavior in the sample, and the presence of statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of psychological hardness in favor of males, and the absence of differences between married males and widows in the scale of hardness For psychic, there are differences between married elderly females and widows in the level of psychological rigidity, in favor of married elderly females, as there were no differences in the level of healthy behavior between males and females, and there were no differences between married males and widows in the level of healthy behavior, while there were differences between females Married and widowed women in the level of healthy behavior in favor of married older women.
