Comparing the Behavioral Disorders of the Children of Martyrs of Duty and Wounded Soldiers with Normal Children

Abstract

Wars and terrorist operations have many effects even on innocent children who survive. To detect behavioral disorders among the children of martyrs, the injured, and the participants in this ware, and to compare them with normal children. The researcher used the “behavioral-disorders scale”. The results concluded that there were more behavioral disorders among a sample of the children of the martyrs, the injured, and the military who participated in the military missions more than others compared to the normal children. At the same time, it was more noticeable among the children of the martyrs and the injured. The demographic variables did not affect except for the place of residence, as the results were in favor of major cities. The study recommended conducting more counselling programs to promote mental health accompanied by the efforts exerted by government institutions for this vital segment of the children of those who sacrificed their lives to protect their country and its assets. Besides, the researcher recommended conducting other studies that contribute to helping those and enhancing their mental health and quality life.
