Abstract

The relations between the Marinid state and the Hafsid state were relations of friendliness and understanding for a period of time; this was due to intermarriage between Abu al-Hasan al-Marini and Abu Yahya Abu Bakr al-Hafsi, but these relations began after a while, and Abu al-Hasan al-Marini always thought about controlling the Hafsid state, and from what To make matters worse, Ibn Tafrajeen escaped to Abu al-Hassan and incited him to invade Africa, and it seems that the opportunity came appropriate for Abu al-Hasan al-Marini upon the death of Abu Yahya Abi Bakr al-Hafsi, and his sons fought to seize power, which weakened Hafsi influence, and Abu al-Hasan al-Marini moved to seize Tunisia , But his campaign was annihilated Failure and ended with his death and the capture of his son's judgment.
