Abstract

The study sought to identify the position of society members in Riyadh in dealing with the Corona-Covid-19 pandemic through variables dealing with the media, economic consumption, dealing with rumors, and adherence to precautionary measures. To achieve the aims of the study, the social survey method was used on a sample of Riyadh residents of Saudi men and Saudi women who numbered 1598. The results of the study indicated the interest of the vast majority of respondents to follow the media to know what is emerging of the Covid-19 crisis.  They also have confidence in the strength of Saudi Arabia's economy and its ability to achieve food sufficiency if the period of the crisis has prolonged. On the other hand, the results affirmed the respondents' rejection of the rumors accompanying the Covid-19 rumors.  They see that it leads to confusing the society, especially in times of crisis. Precaution applied to them. The results indicated that the respondents' awareness about adhering to the precautionary measures leads to maintaining their safety in the first place. The study recommended the allocation of crisis departments in the public and private sectors to anticipate the risk of crises and work to direct the positions of individuals in society in a manner that ensures balance and harmony between them and reduce tension and fear during the crisis period, and attention to including methods and skills for dealing with life during crises in the school curricula, whether in schools General education or in universities.
