An analytical study of the up-to-date research on the public practice of social work in the field of caring for disabled persons

Abstract

The social work profession is closely related to research. Without research, the career won’t advance or develop. The public practice is considered one of the modern trends in community service, being a comprehensive approach of practice that focuses on mutual responsibility between the social worker and the nature of the client in handling the problems facing the clients in the environment, including disabled persons. The client nature includes his/her multiple facets of his personality, his family, his colleagues, his community and the world. Therefore, the problem of the study is to analyze the content of the latest Arabic and foreign international research on public practice in social work in dealing with the disabled to make use of this analysis to highlight what the contributions scientific studies and research to the development of the professional performance of the social worker as a public worker in this field. The study aims to identify the contributions of public practice research to social work in the field of care for people with disabilities. Therefore, this research is analytical. The present study adopted a quantitative and qualitative approach using content analysis to some public practice research.
