Abstract

This study aimed to propose a preventive strategy to activate the universities' efforts in facing the problem of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the university environment. This study is considered one of the descriptive and analytical studies. The study used the method of the social survey in the sample.  Ir measures the study variables, monitoring the relationships between them, answering its questions, and achieving its objectives objectively.   The study results reached the importance of preparing programs to monitor the drug problem in the university environment and employing its outputs to prepare a regulation that limits the drug problem at the university. In addition, to the importance of establishing university units that exercise a preventive role by providing educational programs that use the Islamic approach that is based on developing religious awareness among students.  The need for coordination between universities and government and private agencies related to drug prevention to reduce the drug problem in the university environment.
