Spiritual intelligence and its relationship with the five major factors of personality among a sample of Imam Muhammad ben Saud Islamic University students in light of some variables

Abstract

The study aims to reveal the relationship between spiritual intelligence and the five major factors of personality among a sample of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University students; to reveal differences in the level of spiritual intelligence according to gender variables (male /female), and academic (first / third /fifth /The seventh) level, and the academic specialization (scientific/theoretical).  The study sample included (288) male and female students from Al-Imam University with an average age of (20.8) and a standard deviation (0.90). The research tools included: the scale of spiritual intelligence prepared by the researcher and the scale of the big five factors. The personality was prepared by Goldberg (1993) (translation and Arabization of Mr Abu Hashim, 2007).   The results of the study revealed that the level of spiritual intelligence was average among Imam University students. The results also revealed a statistically significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and the five major factors of personality. Between the dimension of (awareness of spiritual practice) and both of the two dimensions (live conscience and extraversion), between the dimension of (Meaning and truth) and both dimensions (acceptability, extraversion, neuroticism, and openness to experience) and between the dimension of (transcendence and transcendence) and both dimensions (live conscience and extraversion) except for connection Between dimension (a For awareness of spiritual practice) and the dimension of (neuroticism), as well as the dimension of (Meaning and truth) with the dimension of (acceptability), and the total degree of spiritual intelligence with acceptability and openness to experience, and the results revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in spiritual intelligence due to the variables (gender, academic level), Specialization)
