Creative Thinking Skills of Social Specialists Occupying Supervisory Positions at Jordanian Social Work Institutions

This study aims at investigating the mastering of creative thinking skills among social specialists holding supervisory positions within Jordanian social work institutions. It also aims at revealing the individual factors affecting this through its descriptive-analytical method based on explaining the responses of a sample of (102) social specialists and analyzing those responses with the use of statistical coefficients and through a questionnaire consisting of two parts. The first part is related to social specialists, and the second is related to their creative thinking skills. The statistical processing results of the respondents’ data revealed that the study tool (questionnaire) had a high level of validity and stability. In addition, through the study’s use of some statistical and descriptive coefficients. It was able to answer the study’s main question and its six sub-questions. It stated that the studied social specialists’ level of mastering creative thinking skills was average and was not affected by their characteristics such as their mastering of originality skills and sensitivity to problems skills, whereas, it was affected by other characteristics such as their mastering of skills such as fluency, flexibility, and amplification.
