Abstract

This study aimed to examine the degree of cultural intelligence and its relationship with the level of academic adjustment of international students studying at the Islamic University of Medina. The study used the descriptive (analytical-relational) approach through applying the cultural intelligence scale prepared by (Ang et al., 2004) and Henry Borow's list of academic adjustment (Borow, 1949), on a random sample of (377) international students at the Islamic University of Madinah from Asia, Africa, Europe, and America. The results revealed that there is a high degree of cultural intelligence, and an average level of academic adaptation among the study sample, with the presence of statistically significant differences in the degree of cultural intelligence in favor of African students, and the absence of statistically significant differences in the level of academic adaptation. The study concluded that cultural intelligence and academic adaptation among the study sample are positively correlated. It also put forward a set of recommendations.
