Determinants of building key performance indicators to measure the quality standards of orphan care institutions in light of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision

Abstract

The study aimed to monitor the reality of implementing quality standards for orphan care associations with special circumstances; identify obstacles to their application, and try to find determinants for formulating key performance indicators for measuring quality standards in associations in light of the Kingdom's 2030 vision. The study is one of the descriptive and analytical studies that used the comprehensive social survey method for officials Workers in orphan care associations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.   The study was applied to (50) individuals, and a questionnaire was used to determine the reality of applying the quality performance standards of the associations. The most important result of the study is the monitoring of the reality of the implementation of performance quality standards in orphan care associations.  The performance levels are limited for the quality standards of performance in societies between low and medium performance.  The obstacles facing the application of performance quality standards in orphan care associations were identified. The most important is the lack of qualified and trained human resources,  the specialized management with obvious tasks and specializations within the associations, organizational structure, and the lack of clarity of standards for measuring the extent to which the associations achieve their goals.  Arriving at the parameters for formulating the proposed key performance indicators related to each of the (indicator Inputs - Process Indicators - Output Indicators) to measure quality standards in associations in light of the Kingdom's 2030 vision.  Through two aspects, the first of which is the formulation of performance indicators to measure the extent to which quality standards are applied in associations, and the second is to design an accurate system for measuring performance indicators periodically through a scorecard for performance indicators in associations Taking care of orphans with special circumstances.
