Abstract

After the famous pilgrimage journey of the Sultan of Mali kingdom (636-886 H./ 1238-1488 G) Mansi Almousa (412-738 H./1312-1337 G.); the Islamic and Arabian influences were deepened in western Sudan (West of Africa). He was accompanied by the Andalusian and architect poet Abu Eshaq Alsahli al-Granada who is well known as Altwaijan. He introduced the art of building its decoration to that country in Andalusian architectural style.     This Andalusian character was forced to leave Andalusia under pressure and certain circumstances. But, he had the capabilities that enabled him to build a new life in Western Sudan and keep up with new life and an environment that was different from what he was used to it at his Home. This character had written to herself a different history whose features testify to it despite the succession and passing of years.

Besides, the architectural features, which immortalized Alsahli name in the west of Africa, especially in Timbuctoo in the Mali Republic, many families, announced that they were attributed to Andalusian roots through Alsahli family. So, this discussion revealed many arguments.
